Tune into the distinctive sound of the Man in Black when the Baldock & Letchworth Folk, Blues & Roots Club stages a special Wednesday night session as part of this year’s Baldock Festival.
On stage for the Wednesday, May 4 gig, will be acoustic tribute ace John E. Cash, performing songs from throughout the great man’s career, from his earliest days in the 1950s through to numbers from the acclaimed late-era American Recordings.
John E. Cash is backed by Buffalo bluegrass band stalwarts Big Bo Smithson on upright bass and backing vocals and Devilish Dee Notman on backing vocals and mandolin.
John E’s deep dark voice has been acclaimed by critics who say he really does justice to the Man In Black’s trademark sound.
There’s a bargain £6 price attached to this festival offer at the Orange Tree pub in Norton Road, and under 16s don’t pay a penny.
