A PUPPY which was dumped at the side of a road near Wimpole Hall has found a new home.
Seven-week-old Leyna, a German Shepherd cross, was taken to the Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester after she was left last week.
A white Escort van was seen being driven away from the scene with children crying in the back.
But staff at the shelter are now thrilled that she has been re-homed with a family from Huntingdon.
Nicola Bacon, communications manager at the shelter, said: "Puppies generally tend to be re-homed quickly, but it's great for her to be re-homed with such a lovely family after such a traumatic experience.
