The Volunteering in Herts promotional bus arrived in Royston yesterday (Wednesday) with the aim of attracting more people to play a volunteer's role. Members of Royston & District Volunteer Centre gave out details about volunteering in the area. Centre manager Denise Graham said it was an opportunity for people to see the kind of support and training available. On the bus are, from left, Denise Graham, Chris Lee the Royston Time-Bank co-ordinator, Carol Legrand from the Mencap Friendship scheme, Kate Fraser Time-Bank co-ordinator, and John Scott, a trustee of the volunteer centre.
