THE indoor Farmers' Market in Royston is to be suspended for three months.
Royston town centre manager Geraint Burnell said the decision came about because an alternative venue was not available.
The market - run on the third Friday of each month - has been running at Royston Town Hall.
But the town hall is unavailable because it is being used for blood donor sessions.
An alternative venue was Market Hill Rooms, but the building is earmarked for refurbishment in the new year.
"The cancellations have been triggered by problems with the availability of a suitable venue," said Mr Burnell.
"We always knew we had problems, but these have now been exacerbated by difficulties with our back-up location."
He said it was decided to suspend the market until next spring rather than have it constantly moving around.
Meanwhile, the open-air Sunday market will run in Market Hill on Sunday, January 7 and throughout next year.
