FIRE FIGHTERS had to use cutting equipment to free a man from his car after a road accident in Barkway last night (Wednesday).
The accident happened just before 11.00pm outside Barkway Golf Club, and involved one car which left the road and overturned in a field.
Two fire crews, one from Royston and one from Buntingford, together with police and an ambulance, attended the scene and found one male trapped and injured inside the vehicle.
Using cutting equipment, the fire fighters made steady progress and released the man from the car just before midnight. He was taken to Stevenage's Lister Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
