A HEADTEACHER returned to the school where she began her teaching career on Monday.

Kathryn Willett, right, who has six years' headship experience, joined Millfield School in Buntingford, just nine years after completing her teacher training at the school.

Mrs Willett left Weston Primary School after six years to 'pursue a new challenge.'

She said: "Millfield is a larger school, and although it is already a very good school, I want to look for new ways to try to make it better.

"Weston is also a good school and I hope to bring my experiences from Weston to Millfield.

"I have got a very enthusiastic approach and I have had a wide variety of teaching experience.

"At the moment I'm most looking forward to getting to know the children and members of staff and getting to know everyone's name."

Mrs Willett was also deputy headteacher at Roman Way School in Royston for two years before joining Weston Primary School.
