FORMER Royston student Simon King, has graduated as a Flying Officer in the RAF - and will be playing a role in Iraq in November.
After completing a specialist course at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell he will now take up a post with the Mobile Met Unit at RAF Benson.
Simon, 26, who attended the Meridian School, joined the RAF last August, after previously graduating from Reading University with an MSc in applied meteorology and a BSc (Hons) in environmental science of the earth and atmosphere.
Simon will begin his RAF deployment in Basra providing weather forecasts for pilots and aircrews.
