NORTH Herts District Council is again inviting bids to run Royston market.
Royston Town Council received an invite to the latest bidding process yesterday (Wednesday).
In April, The Crow reported how the district council was looking at handing over the running of the market on a tender basis.
A joint bid was submitted by Royston Town Council and the Royston Town Centre Forum - but all bids were rejected.
Town centre manager Geraint Burnell, who put the original bid together, said: "We only received the invite today, but I anticipate we will put in another bid.
"There are a lot of people to consult but we want to ensure the continuation of the market."
It is believed that the district council wants to have the market under new management by April, 2008.
