PUPILS at Millfield School in Buntingford are being encouraged to get on their bikes after the school opened its new cycle rack.
Pupils from the school council cut the ribbon on the £4,000 cycle and scooter rack.
Headteacher Kathy Willett said: "This rack came about at the request of the school council. We have a lot of pupils who come to school on their bikes and scooters, and wanted somewhere to park them."
The project was partly funded by a grant.
Mrs Willett said: "We are planning cycle and scooter skills classes for the pupils, which we hope will take place next term.
