YEAR 9 pupils at Meridian School had a visit from Crimestoppers as part of the school's ongoing RESPECT project.
David Green from Hertfordshire Crimestoppers, gave a talk and showed the students a DVD, to explain the role that the organisation plays in helping to solve crime.
The school's RESPECT project aims to educate young people about the issues of self-respect, and respecting their neighbours and community.
Year 9 business teacher, Kate Kennon, said: "The purpose is to get them more involved within our community and to try to see things from other people's perspective."
And at the end of the project, each student will receive a gold, silver, or bronze certificate, based on their work for the project.
