A COLLECTION for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has raised £1,400.
Volunteers collected money outside Royston Tesco's over the recent May bank holiday weekend.
Jean Emes, secretary of the Royston branch of the RNLI said: "We had 12 volunteers out, and people gave very generously.
The money will be put towards the RNLI's various projects around the country.
