MELDRETH Manor School had some special visitors from Japan.
Students from the Department of Special Education at Fukuoka University of Education visited the school to study the methods used to educate disabled people.
Roger Gale, principal at Meldreth Manor, said: "I am very proud of our school and am so pleased that we have this opportunity to demonstrate the differences that our practices can make to children and young people with complex impairments and additional support needs."
Staff at Meldreth Manor School and Orchard Manor Transition Service conducted a tour of the school, which has recently been redecorated and modernised.
The trio of students contacted the school, which is run by disability charity Scope, as part of a UK-wide tour of leading specialist establishments.
Mr Gale added: "It is great that we can share these ways of working.
