Almost 100 Melbourn villagers turned up to a heated parish council meeting over a continued feud with a developer.

The Melbourn Parish Council meeting, the second in as many weeks, was arranged after the success of the exhibition displaying details about Endurance Estates’ plans for just under 200 homes at land to the east of New Road, which saw 500 people drawn to the Melbourn Community Hub over the course of two days.

The exhibition was staged by the parish council after Endurance refused its request to display the plans to the public.

At the parish council meeting, questions were taken from the floor with villagers raising concerns over infrastructure, drainage worries, overloading schools, and overcrowding at the doctors.

The parish council voted unanimously against the plans and chairman Bob Tulloch urged people to write to the planning department at South Cambs District Council expressing any concerns they may have.
