The fire continues to burn

A 1,000-tonne timber blaze was still burning this week after being alight for nearly a fortnight.

Fire crews were called to Bridgefoot Farm Quarry, near Flint Cross, after recycled wood, sawdust, and a recycling machine were ablaze.

It is believed the fire started in a piece of machinery, and the cause was accidental.
