Where’s the community spirit?
I AM writing to thank those who helped me when I fell and injured myself last week. I was struggling with my sales bargains when I tripped outside Martin s in the High Street, Royston, and fell, injuring my wrist and knee. I am of course being sarcastic.

I was struggling with my sales bargains when I tripped outside Martin's in the High Street, Royston, and fell, injuring my wrist and knee. I am of course being sarcastic.
Not one person asked if I was all right, let alone assisted me. I was stared at, however, which was very helpful.
I did think of Royston as a friendly town with a close community. Perhaps it was because I am 20 and not 80 that no one assisted me? I find this to be sad and extremely ageist.
