AS a clay shooter, I read with interest The Crow's report on Nuthampstead Shooting Centre being chosen as a training centre for the Olympic Games.
I am pleased for Martin and Nicky Barker, they certainly deserve being recognised for their great facilities.
But as I understand it, the actual shooting will take place in Woolwich, London, with a new venue being built at a cost of £18-£20 million, only to be knocked down after the Games at a further cost of £5-£7 milllion.
I thought one of the benefits of hosting the Olympic Games in your own country was the legacy it leaves for others in the future.
Obviously this does not apply to clay shooting.
I'm sure Lord Coe was not honoured with his title of Lord by spending £30 million of tax payers money with nothing to show for it.
