THIS week's photograph shows the yard of the Bull Inn in Royston.
The Bull claims to be the oldest inn in Royston and is believed to have been in existence in the 15th century.
There were alterations to the pub, probably in the 18th century.
The ballroom, on the left, is said to have once been an assembly room for a different inn and was taken down and reassembled at the Bull Inn.
On the left of the picture, too, is an arch which led through to the High Street and it was here where coaches entered the courtyard to change horses for the next stage of their journey.
