MAY I through the Crow Postbag write in support of once-a-week bin collections (The Crow, May 17).
The system has worked well in Cambridge with alternative collections of black and green bins every fortnight.
While we all need to waste less and recycle more, one cannot guarantee that by wasting less more shall be re-cycled. One can but hope.
A similar system was recently introduced by South Cambridgeshire District Council to a positive affect.
However, when Cambridgeshire County Council reduced waste it was told to take more waste from London. A little unfair I think.
