AFTER last week's photograph of the drum and bugle band of the 1st Royston Rover Scouts, we move to a further event on the day of celebrations during the Silver Jubilee of George V and Queen Mary.
Seen here is the bonfire created by Royston Rovers and Scouts on the heath at Lankaster Hill.
The bonfire was part of a call to provide beacons on the day.
One other event during the day was a radio broadcast from George V which was replayed through loudspeakers set up near the cricket pavilion on the heath.
