IN response to Cllr Davidson's comments at a planning meeting, I always believed that the role of a town councillor - and it was certainly the way I viewed the position in the 12 years of being an elected member - was to support our community and to look at ways of making improvements for our people.
Obviously, we do have problems in Royston, but it is certainly not third-rate.
