Roysia Women's Club: At last week's meeting, botanist and landscape artist Margaret Lynch gave a talk on the better days of her two-and-a-half-acre garden in Meldreth. She showed the difference types of daffodils and campanulas, tulips, hellebores, roses and lillies, and the shaded greens of the hostas foliage. She gave advice to members on planting spoke of the change in fashion for certain plants. The club has chosen Breast Cancer as its new charity of the year. Some 35 members visited the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage, to see the Hitchin Thespians' production of Me and My Girl. First winner in the evening's raffle was Elizabeth Taylor; second, Karen Heaton and third, Jan Fraser. The next meeting will be on March 20 when Juia Garfot will talk on How Mercy Ships Bring Hope and Healing.
