discussed questions such as the smoking ban, New Year's honours list, Royston toilets, and moves to legalise prostitution.
Fifty members enjoyed the Snow White ice show trip to Cambridge, and names and deposits were taken for the Thoroughly Modern Millie theatre trip on March 15, to be paid in by February 12.
Winners in the raffle were Carol Thorogood, box of toiletries, Mollie Wyatt, a solar light, Anita Crooke, umbrella, and Wendy Pearce, calendar.
The next meeting will be on January 22 - The Life and Books of Beatrice Potter, by Alan Maskell.
