Up the Pimple again. My last trip up. I remained waiting my turn for leave. It didn't worry me. Only fatigues to do.
Found some quite good chums and needless to say we played our cards right. Real old soldiers, not being seen much, so we were never really missed. Plenty of amusements in the valley.
Numerous YMCAs, canteens and a cinema holding 4,000 in our camp. So every evening, it was either a concert or cinema.
Met several of the old lads who were wounded on March 21.
Had some good old times together. Boxing contests.
