Many of them had perhaps only experienced a few weeks of Army life.
These lads were awfully curious as to what they were going to. A little group put many questions to me. One couldn't help feeling sorry for them.
Off to the line again and not sorry except we were bound for the Ypres salient.
Most of us had been there before.
