THERE are renewed hopes this week that the near-derelict burial ground on the east side of Melbourn Road, Royston, will be taken over by North Herts District Council and put in good order with a view for future use.
Recommendations on these lines have been made to the council following discussions with the secretary of the Royston Cemetary Company, which no longer has resources to look after the place.
