I telephoned Duxford airfield recently to complain about this and was informed that the offending aircraft did not come from there but from another airfield at Little Gransden. They gave me their phone number, which I contacted, but a recorded message informed me that the number did not receive incoming calls.
I do not object to aircraft passing overhead, after all I have used them myself to travel. This noise, however, is another matter, and of course, one wonders how much fuel is being burned for no good reason.
