NEVER mind your California Dream (Tesco launches six Fresh & Easy stores in USA), look after your roots.
By this I mean bus routes nearer Tesco's home here in Hertfordshire.
When the No 17 service is withdrawn it will cause hardship to the elderly in Royston without their own transport, who shop at your store.
They may not be the big spenders at your checkouts filling your tills today, but where would Tesco be with out their support over the past 50 years.
They have made it possible for you to lead a company that is a worldwide player.
Jack Cohen's dream was to "stack it high and sell it cheap". Didn't he do well.

Tesco could do well and sponsor the Royston town bus service.
I am sure that the advertising Tesco would get for the £50,000 needed to maintain the service would be money well spent from your marketing budget.
I sign off with this "quote", Sir Terry: "Don't think what Royston can do for Tesco, think what Tesco can do for Royston."
