ON Wednesday we, like a number of other unfortunate people in Royston, were flooded out of our home by the freak storm.
We were choked by the help and support given by all our friends, neighbours and the fire service.
We would like to say a special thank you to our next door neighbour James (Jim) Hollingsworth, without whose help we would have lost a lot more than we did.
It's wonderful to know that in a disastrous situation people all pull together. I also wonder how we would have coped if the fire service wasn't in Royston anymore.
I hope we will always have its help on hand when we need it.
