A GOLD necklace was presented to Barbara Charter at the annual meeting of the club when she retired after 30 years as secretary.

The club is still looking for a new secretary, members were told.

Reports of the past year's activities were given by Mrs Charter, treasurer Wendy Chamberlain, and chairman Brian Chamberlain.

The club held a buffet to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of Iris and Don Elliot, during which a gift from members was presented to them.

Local historian Mike Petty gave members a talk on Disappearing Cambridge.

Members have an active year ahead with outings and speakers.
