Teddy Sheringham proved this week that you don't have to be in your 20s to play footy in the premiership.
He obviously still has what it takes to play the demanding game, and is far more experienced than other players.
It's a pity other players don't continue to play the game well into their 30s or 40s. Age shouldn't matter if they have the stamina and skills to play well and score goals.
But at the end of the day I think it's their huge wage packets which allow them to retire early and earn money doing something far less demanding.
