WE'RE all familiar with that old Beatles' line: "Money can't buy me love." Well it can't buy you happiness either. And yet we spend so much of our life worrying about money and trying to get more of it. There are plenty of wealthy people - including some Lottery winners - who are not happy. As a nation we are apparently 30 per cent wealthier than we were 10 years ago. But are we any happier? No answer needed. Indeed, money is not the answer. So what is? There has been a lot of studies done researching happy people. They all have one thing in common - they have a purpose to their life. That doesn't mean they're all Mother Theresa's or Nelson Mandela's. They may be totally satisfied in providing their fresh baked bread for the local community or serving up the pints at the local. These are ordinary people, like you and I, but we can learn from them. They've simply found their niche and they're passionate about what they do. Successful entrepreneurs tend to "make it" because they are passionate about what they do. Are you passionate about what you do? If not, are you prepared to do something about it? Having passion in your life, whether it's new-found love, a hobby or a rewarding career, transforms the WHOLE of your life. Unfortunately, so many of us are so busy running the treadmill of life, we don't even have time to wonder about whether we feel passionate about anything. We just know we don't. So February's a great time to start doing this. Christmas is out of the way, New Years resolutions made (and hopefully being pursued if you've taken that first step) and the whole year is ahead of us. You can make 2006 the year you find your passion if you want to. Make the decision now that you're going to change your life and look for your passion. In the coming months, we're going to look at ways of doing this. It would be good to hear your ideas or questions.
