Dumbfounded by dilemma’
I READ with amazement that the Old Barn Day Centre in Royston is facing a cash dilemma, especially as the Royston Gardening Club has been trying to hire the premises for more than 18 months and has been refused as it does not comply with its constitution.
I READ with amazement that the Old Barn Day Centre in Royston is facing a cash dilemma, especially as the Royston Gardening Club has been trying to hire the premises for more than 18 months and has been refused as it does not comply with its constitution.
Many groups are allowed this privilege, and the building was meant for the elderly, and many of our members are elderly and live nearby.
The money would help finance the running costs of classes for the elderly.
Last, but not least, with the increase in council tax this year, what on earth is North Herts District Council doing with our money.
