THE thought of raising at least £150,000-a-year and almost £1 million over a five-year period to rejuvenate Royston must have the support of the business community.

Although it will mean paying an extra rate it will, we believe, be worthwhile.

Indeed, The Crow - which is, too, a business rate payer - gives wholehearted support to the project.

It will give businesses the opportunity to play a key role in projects needed to rejuvenate the town centre; it will see the chance to become involved in community projects, and it will, quite simply, improve the quality of life of our residents.

In other words, it is an opportunity that has to be grasped.

It is right to say that the project, Royston First: a Catalyst for Change is ambitious, but it is correct, too, to describe it as exciting.
