Please allow to make a modest contribution regarding the Nostalgia picture in The Crow, May 21.
The couple on the sofa are my late uncle and aunt, Walter and Vera Hart, of Harts House in Royston High Street, which is now a cycle shop. They are flanked by their twins, Jennifer and John, both of whom now live abroad.
I think it was taken in the early 1950's at their house in Priory Close on the occasion of Vera's participation (by phone) in a BBC broadcast. The name of the programme escapes me, but I was around to stay up and watch it.
The BBC's choice may not have been uninfluenced by the fact that Walter's brother was a BBC Cameraman!
