THE annual report of the Royston and District Hospital shows that the Workers' Hospital Fund, which now has a membership of more than 6,000, has rendered substantial assistance by contributing £1,000 during the year.
The hospital has been full to its capacity during the whole of the year.
Out of the 371 patients who were treated, 110 were children and the committee now has plans for the addition of a children's ward to the hospital, at an estimated cost of £5,000.
