HAVE any Royston councillors used the toilets at The Cross since their improvements?
The new door is now of a great, heaving wooden construction. It presents a real obstacle to entering for all parents with buggies.
No disabled person could get it open easily without help.
Its entrance is still so narrow that it doesn't allow anyone using a wheelchair to reach the disabled toilet, and the elderly would find the heavy door most difficult to push open.
It was much easier to use before these improvements, and this is not just my opinion.
It's the same interior with a lick of paint, but with no new washing facilities.
The money would have been better spent towards really improving the toilets or towards ensuring the bus station toilets stayed open.
Why not ask the regular users of toilets their opinions about any improvements before public money is spent on changes?
