A FORMER X Factor contestant has confirmed a live show in Hatfield for next year to coincide with the launch of her debut album.
The Forum Hertfordshire, in College Lane, will welcome the vocal talents of Janet Devlin to The Attic on Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
The fiery singer-songwriter will be showing off the unique voice that charmed the nation during the 2011 series of The X Factor.
Janet had very little singing experience before judge and mentor Kelly Rowland chose her for the live shows in late 2011.
She had previously uploaded singing videos to her official channel on YouTube on a regular basis, which have now gained more than 10.5 million views worldwide.
Her original X Factor audition has received well over eight million views on ITV’s official X Factor YouTube channel alone.
While on the X Factor live shows, it was revealed that Janet had received the highest number of votes for the first four weeks of the reality contest.
The flame-haired 17-year-old Irish singer’s 10-date debut headline UK tour next year will promote her forthcoming album.
Currently writing and recording with Grammy Award and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter and producer Eliot Kennedy, Janet has co-written tracks with the likes of Newton Faulkner and Jack Savoretti.
Tickets for Janet Devlin’s UK tour will be priced at £8.50 for regional shows and £10 for the London date at the O2 Academy Islington.
Tickets will be available via O2 Priority from tomorrow (Wednesday). They go on general sale on Friday at 9am.
