A wind and piano medley from the Gamay Ensemble will entertain music lovers in Handside Lane tomorrow (Sunday) from 6pm.

The event will feature Judith Hill on flute, Barry Solomon on oboe, Chris Goward on clarinet, Philippa Scott on horn, Tim Pigden on bassoon and Mary Anstey on piano.

They perform works dating from the 18th century to the present day – some romantic, some wacky and some serious.

There will be short pieces for single wind instruments and piano, wind quintets, and sextets for wind instruments and piano.

Composers include Elgar, Reicha, Saint-Saëns and Françaix and more, and the second half will include a performance of the famous Nielsen wind quintet.

The concert starts at 6pm.

Admission is free with a retiring collection for the Isabel Hospice.
