V Festival 2013 line-up announced today

THE V Festival 2013 line-up and main stage headliners will be announced later today (Monday).

Organisers of the dual-site music festival will confirm this evening at 8pm the first acts playing August’s two-day rock, pop and indie extravaganza.

Sponsored by Virgin Media, V2013 takes place across the county border at Hylands Park, in Chelmsford, Essex, and at twin venue Weston Park, Staffordshire, from Saturday, August 17 to Sunday, August 18.

No acts have been officially announced by festival promoters yet.

The Stone Roses and The Killers headlined last year’s festival, with newly-crowned Brit Award winners Emeli Sande and Ben Howard also on the 2012 V bill.

V Festival tickets for 2013 go on general sale from 9am on Friday, March 1.

Virgin Media customers, who have already registered for early bird tickets, can buy weekend camping passes from 9am on Tuesday, February 26.

Chelmsford residents’ pre-sale opens on Thursday, February 28.
