FOR the first time, members of the public are being invited to take a guided tour of sculptures in the University of Hertfordshire’s art collection.
The UH Art Collection was established in 1952, with the ethos of presenting modern and contemporary art in places where people study, work and visit.
This reflects the Hatfield-based university’s determination to provide not only an attractive educational setting, but also one which will inform, enlighten and enhance the life of its students, staff and the local community.
Featured artists in the sculpture tour of the university’s College Lane Campus include Barbara Hepworth, Diane MacLean and Andy Goldsworthy.
Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are led by art collection curator Amisha Karia.
A small charge is applicable of £3.50.
Guided tours take place once a month until June 29, and can be booked through the UHArts box office on 01707 281127.
