Comedy that has Conscience

A COMEDIAN who has turned his hand to writing will be directing a new show which is set for the West End.

Johnny Tait, who has been touring with fellow stand-up Freddie Star, will be bringing his play Conscience to the Gordon Craig Theatre on Thursday.

The show is based on a book of the same name written by the Codicote resident, which is based on real-life events which saw three people wrongly convicted and hung for murder.

“The book came about through my anger about the injustices in these cases,” said Johnny.

“But the play is actually quite humour to open up with before the laughter turns to tears.

“I take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, with a dramatic twist at the end that you will not see coming.”

The comedian added he is currently in discussions to bring the play to West End and admitted he’s had a really good career but he would be “happy to die” if that dream is fulfilled.
