IT’S panto time again! Oh no it isn’t... Oh yes it is. Well for some at least.

Aladdin is this year’s big pantomime production in St Albans.

The fun-filled show will feature children’s TV favourite Phil Gallagher, better known as CBeebies’ Mister Maker, and former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson – the hapless Barry in Albert Square.

Having appeared in Snow White last Christmas, Phil returns as Aladdin, while Shaun, who played a tragic version of himself in sitcom Extras alongside Ricky Gervais, shows his evil side as baddie Abanazar.

Joining them on the Alban Arena stage will be Kelly Chinery and, back by popular demand, St Albans funnyman Bob Golding as Pc Pongo.

The cast also includes Nathaniel Morrison, Sam Rabone and Jemma Carlisle.

And the Alban Arena, in partnership with Evolution Pantomimes, is looking for girls to be a part of the junior ensemble in the show which will run from Friday, December 14 to Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, July 8. Registration will start from 1pm with the auditions taking place from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

To audition, you must be female and between the ages of eight and 15 inclusive.

You should turn up wearing comfortable clothes and soft/dance shoes. Also bring some drinking water.

Budding cast members will be taught a routine on arrival.

Tickets for Aladdin start from £14 and are available from the box office on 01727 844488 or online from www.alban-arena.co.uk
