The West End star and Pop Idol runner-up made his final appearance as Prince Charming in St Albans’ record-breaking pantomime Cinderella last night (Saturday).

But he will not be appearing in today’s shows at the Alban Arena due to prior commitments.

After taking the stage in panto alongside CBeebies’ Andy Day and Olivier Award nominated actor Bob Golding in recent weeks, Gareth will return to the rink and join fellow former Dancing on Ice competitors in the last-ever series of ITV celebrity skating contest Dancing on Ice.

Former Olympic champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be reunited with their former star pupils, DOI series champions and fan favourites in tonight’s first episode, which starts on ITV at 6.15pm.
