The West End star and Pop Idol runner-up made his final appearance as Prince Charming in St Albans’ record-breaking pantomime Cinderella last night (Saturday).

But he will not be appearing in today’s shows at the Alban Arena due to prior commitments.

After taking the stage in panto alongside CBeebies’ Andy Day and Olivier Award nominated actor Bob Golding in recent weeks, Gareth will return to the rink and join fellow former Dancing on Ice competitors in the last-ever series of ITV celebrity skating contest Dancing on Ice.

Former Olympic champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be reunited with their former star pupils, DOI series champions and fan favourites in tonight’s first episode, which starts on ITV at 6.15pm.

Taking part in the all-star spectacular are the likes of Bonnie Langford, ex-EastEnders actor Todd Carty, former Emmerdale actress and now Coronation Street favourite Hayley Tamaddon, David Seaman, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, former rugby international Kyran Bracken, Jorgie Porter, Gary Lucy, Sam Attwater, Suzanne Shaw, Ray Quinn and Joe Pasquale.

Hosted by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley, Dancing On Ice: The Skate Off for the lowest-scoring celebrities is on ITV from 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, tickets for the 2014 St Albans pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, are already on sale.

Again produced by Evolution Productions, the team behind the current record-breaking run of Cinderella, this winter’s prices are being held until April 1, and ticket are already selling well.

The panto runs from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, January 4.

For tickets, call the Alban Arena box office on 01727 844488 or book online at www.alban-arena.co.uk
