Billy Lunn, Josh Morgan and Charlotte Cooper release My Heart Is Pumping To A Brand New Beat on Monday, June 23.

The band said: “We are delighted to announce that we will be releasing a brand new single for the summer, our first for 18 months, alongside our upcoming performances at Glastonbury/Hurricane/Southside and Camden Rocks!”

Written, produced and mixed by Billy, the track will be released on the band’s own label YFE (Young For Eternity) Records, in conjunction with a newly-penned services deal with Cooking Vinyl.

Frontman and guitarist Billy said: “I wrote this track after I recently resolved a difficulty in my life as I was surrounded by the pulsing beats of my favourite songs and a throng of complete strangers crashing around the dance floor. Music has a wonderful power to heal wounds.”

“Hope you enjoy the new track,” added Billy, bassist Charlotte and drummer Josh.

The group’s new logo and single artwork have been designed by Zash, a Hungarian graphic artist whom the band contacted via Facebook, after she posted some of her striking work on their page.

“We loved the results so much that we asked her to design our next album cover,” said The Subways.

After playing the Electric Ballroom, in London, on Saturday night as part of Camden Rocks Festival, The Subways are due to play a string of festivals in Germany, before heading to Glastonbury on June 29.
