FOLLOWING the unveiling of a blue plaque outside the pub in St Albans where they first met in the 1960s, legendary band The Zombies play a concert in their home county later this week.

The group fronted by Hatfield singer Colin Blunstone and also featuring Rod Argent on piano and keyboards are due to appear at the Hertford Corn Exchange on Friday, May 18, at 7.30pm.

Most famous for debut single She’s Not There, the group’s 1968 album Odessey and Oracle is regarded as a British psychedelic masterpiece.

The Zombies are also cited as influences by artists such as Paul Weller, Badly Drawn Boy and The Vaccines.
