Girl group Stooshe will be performing in Hatfield next week.
They will be appearing at The Forum Hertfordshire on Friday, February 21 as part of the ‘Flirt!’ club night.
Utterly uninterested in following the formula, the London-based three-piece have not only disregarded the girl band code of conduct, they’ve ripped it into shreds.
The female trio’s sound is a carefree, pop-oriented mix of rap and R&B – akin to a junior hybrid of Solange, Electrik Red and Nicki Minaj.
Manager and songwriter Jo Perry assembled the group in January 2011, after months of auditions.
Before the end of the year, Stooshe had issued songs like Betty Woz Gone, signed to Warner Music UK and were nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 award.
They released Love Me, featuring Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy, as their first proper single in early 2012 before releasing their debut album, London with the Lights On, last year.
Stooshe will be appearing at the Flirt! club night on February 21. Doors open at 10pm.
Tickets cost £5 in advance.
