Tickets for Hertfordshire music festival Standon Calling 2015 have gone on sale.
After this year’s festival drew to a close yesterday (Sunday), Standon Calling organisers have released an extra special offer on tickets to 2015’s event, starting at £79.
Some 6,500 sun-drenched, fancy-dressed and dancing festival-goers attended this year’s “over-grown house party” in the grounds of Standon Lordship.
Until 6pm on Monday, August 4, a special “on-site” offer of a weekend ticket for only £79, plus booking fee, is available via Standon-calling.com.
After 6pm, the cost will rise, only by £10, to the super early-bird price of £89.
With the best in indie, pop and electronic acts, plus themed workshops, fancy dress, a swimming pool, a dog show and more, Standon Calling 2014 was headlined by a rousing set from Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls on Friday night.
An electric performance from hip-hop legends Public Enemy topped the bill on Saturday and the much-loved indie janglings of Maximo Park brought the main stage to a close on Sunday.
The festival also saw performances from Hertfordshire-born pop princess Charli XCX, Peace, Toy, Young Fathers, Ibibio Sound Machine and Eliza & The Bear.
Encompassed in the theme of ‘Lost in Latin America’, the festival once again saw Herculean-efforts in the fancy-dress competition.
“Sunshine, stunning sets and smiles from our biggest ever crowd have made this weekend a huge success,” said festival founder Alex Trenchard.
“Standon Calling would like to extend our gratitude to all the acts, staff and locals who have made it possible.
“It’s our absolute pleasure to offer those who’ve caught the Standon Calling bug the chance to get a real bargain so that they can join us again next year.
“We may only be hours since the event ended, but we can’t wait to start planning 2015’s festival. Until then, thank you!’
