Sonisphere returned to Knebworth Park over the weekend with more than 50,000 rock and metal fans attending the 2014 festival.
Back in the UK following a two-year hiatus, the international touring festival helped celebrate 40 years of music at Knebworth House.
The Prodigy headlined the opening Friday night at the historic music venue, with Gary Numan and Limp Bizkit also appearing.
British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden topped the bill on Saturday, with the line-up also including Slayer, Frank Turner and Deftones.
Thrash metal veterans Metallica closed the main Apollo Stage on Sunday night with an awesome set just a week after their headline performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage.
