The international touring festival’s UK leg returns to the grounds of Knebworth House for the fourth time from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6.

The three-day rock and metal event will be headlined by The Prodigy, Iron Maiden and Metallica.

Limp Bizkit, Slayer, Deftones and Frank Turner will also be appearing over the weekend.

Ahead of the gates opening to the public next Thursday, Team Sonisphere and events crews are now on site transforming the rolling Hertfordshire parkland into effectively a mini town for the estimated 50,000 metal fans due to attend to festival.

Over the coming days the various campsites will be marked out, the main stages built and the large Bohemia tent put up.

The festival site will open to all camping ticket holders at 3pm on July 3.

Sonisphere gates will open at 9am on Friday, July 4.
