Organisers of rock festival Sonisphere have confirmed another five European dates for 2014.
The international touring festival returns to Knebworth Park from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6 next year.
Metallica and Iron Maiden will co-headline the three-day event as part of the music venue’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden will bring their hugely successful ‘Maiden England’ World Tour to a spectacular finale at the Hertfordshire stately home.
Sonisphere will also visit Germany on Wednesday, June 4, with Metallica topping the Hamburg line-up with their special “by request” set list.
Today (Wednesday), promoters of the biggest pan-European event confirmed details of five more shows, with Sonisphere also stopping off in Poland, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Italy in 2014.
Sonisphere Finland will take place in Helsinki on May 28 with Metallica and Slayer on the bill.
The festival makes its Norwegian debut in Oslo on June 1.
Sonisphere will also rock in Rome on July 1, with Metallica playing the Italian show.
The roaming metal festival’s leg in Switzerland will take place at St Jakob-Park near Basel on Friday, July 4.
Metallica are also headlining this event, meaning they will be appearing at Knebworth on either Saturday, July 5 or Sunday, July 6.
Sonisphere Poland will return to Warsaw, home of the first Big 4 outing, on July 11.
